Original Quilt Design

My quilt designs blend tradition and modernity, featuring classic blocks reimagined with contemporary layouts and colorations. By reinterpreting traditional techniques, I aim to keep quilting relevant now and for future generations.

French Pressed Seams

This quilt is all about dimension, with delicate French seams sitting upright on the surface, creating subtle twists and shadows.

The Dark Reveals the Light

This quilt plays with transparency, layering white fabric over black batting with freeform, improv piecing. Bold, clean lines float above the surface, creating an intriguing balance of depth and light.

It's Not What It Seams

Inspired by the Quiltcon 2023 challenge, I embraced the limits to create a log cabin quilt that balanced tradition with innovation. These constraints helped focus my ideas, leading to a design that felt both fresh and rooted in the classic block layout.

04

Beneath to Above

For this quilt, I wanted to honor the traditional log cabin block layout while adding an innovative twist. The primary design element features raw seams on the surface, giving the quilt a unique texture.
